Rural Eye Health Programme
Sightsavers’ Rural Eye Health (REH) programme aims to improve eye health in rural communities by raising awareness, delivering quality services, and eliminating avoidable blindness. It also focuses on providing comprehensive eye care beyond cataract screening.

NATIONAL SCHOOL
EYE HEALTH
PROGRAMME
The National School Eye Health Programme, prevents eye diseases and vision impairments amongst children aged 5-18 in government and government-aided schools. This initiative with the goal of ‘good and maintained eye health’ aims towards improved learning outcomes and academic excellence.

The Legacy
Working in India since 1966, protecting and promoting inclusion of people with disabilities. Sightsavers India works in 10 states, extending eye health services to the underserved areas, enabling people to lead lives of independence and dignity.
We have supported the treatment of millions of people with eye disorders, educated, counseled, trained and rehabilitated people who are visually impaired or blind.
