Life Before and After the Accident
Seventeen years ago, Jagveer suffered a serious injury in an accident, which left his entire body paralyzed. A year after this accident, his wife left him, further increasing his difficulties. At that time, Jagveer was living in a joint family with his parents and five brothers. However, for the next 10 years, his family prevented him from working due to his disability.
Determination to Become Self-Reliant
Despite the lack of adequate support, Jagveer decided to become self-reliant. However, due to financial constraints, there was no significant change for three years. In 2021, Jagveer purchased an old electric wheelchair and began working as a salesman, gradually becoming self-reliant.
Challenges with the Wheelchair
His electric wheelchair, which is his only means of livelihood, has broken down. As a result, his work has been severely affected, and his livelihood is at risk. For the past year, Jagveer has been struggling to purchase a new wheelchair, but due to financial difficulties, he has been unable to do so. Despite this, Jagveer remains determined to continue his journey towards self-reliance so that he can work independently again.
A new beginning with the support of Helplife
For the past one year, stepping out of the house had become a dream for Jagveer, as he did not have a working wheelchair. The wheelchair that he once used to earn a livelihood had also stopped working. Jagveer made several attempts to buy a new wheelchair, but was unsuccessful due to financial limitations. On January 2, 2025, Jagveer was provided with a new wheelchair in collaboration with HelpLife and HHH. His happiness knew no bounds. He is now once again able to move around independently, doing his work and earning a livelihood for himself and his family. This newfound independence has brought joy to his life, allowing him to take care of himself and his loved ones with dignity and confidence.
