Before Joining Helplife
My name is Ritu Tiwari, and I am from Raebarely, Uttar Pradesh. I completed my graduation, but the journey was far from easy due to the challenges I face in my daily life. I live with a physical disability that affects my legs, making even the simplest tasks a struggle. This disability has become an inseparable part of my life, and I often require more time, effort, and patience to perform everyday activities that others might complete with ease.
The economic situation in my family has also been a significant concern. We are a family of six, and after my father retired from ITI Private Limited in 2015, our financial condition weakened further. Although my two brothers work in the private sector, their incomes are limited, and job stability is uncertain. My mother and sister-in-law handle the household responsibilities. This financial instability has added to the challenges in my life, creating daily hardships.
Amid these difficulties, I faced many moments of despair. During my studies, I often questioned whether I would ever be able to achieve my dreams, as I struggled while my classmates ran ahead without difficulty. Despite moments of self-doubt, the unwavering support from my family and my determination kept me going.
After Joining Helplife
Sewing had become an important part of my life, but initially, I had very limited resources. I didn’t even own a good sewing machine. Working on my old machine was time-consuming and challenging. However, I persisted, as I had no other option. Despite my efforts, the income I earned from sewing was limited, and at times, it felt like I wouldn’t be able to continue.
My life took a positive turn when I received a new sewing machine from Helplife. It was nothing short of a blessing. Tasks that once took hours now take much less time, allowing me to work more efficiently. This increased my productivity, boosted my confidence, and significantly improved my ability to earn more. The sewing machine has opened up new opportunities for me, and I am now working harder than ever to generate a stable income.
With this new machine, I plan to sell my stitched garments in the market and expand my sewing business. My goal is to improve my family’s financial condition through my efforts and dedication. I dream of providing a stable and secure life for my family, ensuring that we never have to face financial hardships in the future.
